Magical Masquerade – Laguna Preschool’s 15th Annual Silent Auction

It’s that time of year again – the Laguna Preschool’s Annual Silent Auction! This year’s theme is Magical Masquerade, a night for parent’s to dress up in fancy clothes, wear mysterious masquerade masks, and enjoy an amazing magic show.

January Open House

Laguna Preschool’s January Open House was a big success yesterday. What a great turn out! I hope all the families that came to visit our school had a great time, we really enjoyed meeting each of you. Thank you to Teacher Barbara and Teacher Jackie for setting up such fun activity tables for the children. Also a big thank you to all the working parents that came to make sure the Open House ran smoothly!

Field trip to the LA Natural History Museum

Today we went on a field trip to the Los Angeles Natural History Museum. The kids had so much fun seeing all the dinosaur exhibits, birds and wildlife exhibits and the live insect room. The highlight was the Dinosaur Encounter show where we got to see Dakota a “living” moving baby Triceratops!

Daddy Night at Laguna Preschool

Tonight we had Dad’s Night at the preschool. This gave our Dads an opportunity to share a sample day at school. We started the night with a light dinner of yummy Meat-eor Ball Sandwiches, Earth Salad, and Comet Cookies. Afterwards, the kids got to do activities stations with their dads – experiments with combining vinegar and baking soda, making alien soap, make rocket launchers, and experiment with magnets. The children got to play in a wind tunnel and space station with their dads. During outside play, teachers turned on the smoke machine and then Teacher Barbara wowed us with her magic tricks! Children got to play a game of hide and seek glow-sticks – hide out in the dark with glow-sticks while their dads searched for them. The fun night ended on a high note with a special Daddy version of circle time. The kids had a blast and were so excited to be able to share a day in their preschool life with Dads.
